ASHLEIGH BRYKALIUK
Ashleigh is a former DI coach and player for the University of Minnesota Duluth. She spent four years as a Bulldog compiling 145 points through 146 games, finishing her career as the 12th highest scorer in UMD history. She returned to the team as the program’s assistant coach for three years in which she was relied on as the team’s offensive and skills coach. She is currently playing professionally for the Minnesota Whitecaps of the PHF and previously spent a year abroad playing professionally for the Vanke Rays in China. Ashleigh is a two-time gold medalist with Team Canada at the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championships, and spent years playing and training in Hockey Canada’s national team development program.
REAGAN HALEY
Reagan is a former DI player at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Prior to arriving on campus in Duluth, Reagan led the Red Wing High School team to “5” straight State Tournaments including a Senior season where she was second in the state scoring (97 points on 47 goals and 50 assists) yielding a nomination for Ms. Hockey. Most recently, Reagan competed in the professional “Dream Gap Tour” participating with the best women’s hockey players in the world. Reagan is currently the Women’s Assistant Coach at St. Scholastica.
SARAH CHING
Sarah is the General Manager and Head Skatemill Coach at Northern Elite Training Facility. Sarah has been training athletes on the skating treadmill since NETF opened in 2020. She has 26 years of Professional Figure Skating and Hockey Skating Instruction. Sarah is a former a MN State Champion and National Gold Medalist in Figure Skating. She also holds a degree in Education from the University of Minnesota Duluth and previously taught and directed a school for over 20 years. Training on the skatemill provides athletes to develop both physically and mentally. Working to establish and improve skating technique leads to increased improvement in speed and strength. Sarah has committed her career to developing strong, confident skaters on the skatemill and on the ice.
RYAN COOLE
Ryan is the General Manager/Owner of the Northern Elite Training Program and co-owner of the Northern Elite Training Facility. Ryan is a former D1 hockey player at the University of Minnesota Duluth. After graduation, Ryan continued to play Minor League Professional Hockey for the next four years. Ryan has coached at all levels of Women’s hockey over the past 15 years and is currently the Associate Head Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. The Northern Elite Training Program was founded in 2016 to promote the Girls playing hockey in Northern/Outstate Minnesota with the primary goal of providing opportunity to play Collegiate Hockey. Since its beginning in 2016, the program has maintained three levels (U14, U16 & U19) playing in various Collegiate Showcases during the offseason culminating with two teams (U19 and U16) participating in the Fall Tier 1 Elite League. Ryan resides in Duluth, MN with his wife Jodi (Co-Owners and General Manager of Cold Storage Performance) and three girls (Madison, Bailey and Nora…..4 if you count Juno the lab).
